Dispersed

This kind of leaf arrangement is characterized by one leaf per node, like the distichous arrangement. In contrast to the distichous arrangement, however, leaves of subsequent nodes are turned around the stem axis only by a certain degree (and not by 180 degree). This way, the leaves are positioned helically along the stem axis. A strong shortening of such stem axes leads to the formation of rosettes.
