Stylus

The stylus is a part of the female reproductive organ of angiosperms.

It is connecting the stigma with the ovary, which is containing the ovules. Male pollen grains, falling on the stigma have to form pollen tubes, growing through the stylus to the ovules. There, male and female germ cells fuse, initiating seed formation.
